Frugal Friday: Line Drying

Over the next few months, I am going to use Frugal Fridays to let you know the various ways that I stay frugal and afford to homeschool. Frugal Friday Weekly Wrap-up

I started homeschooling from scratch this year and began with a very small budget.  Just like many of you, I hunt for free and inexpensive materials and opportunities.  Below are some of the more frugal activities we did this week. Almost Free (Cost me some gas):  Fireworks at the Lake – Every year our city has a fantastic fireworks display over the lake.  The boys had a great time, even though it made for a late night.  We have been in a burn ban, so no grilling for us this weekend, but it was a relaxing holiday.  Story time at the Library – We went back this week after missing story time while Alex was in Pre-K.  I was concerned about Ryan, but he did great.  Story time includes about 5-6 books and a couple of songs about one topic.  This week was ice cream.  Then there is a short … Keep reading…
